RIDICULOUS :

"OBAMA WINS NOBEL PEACE PRIZE FOR 2009"

United States President Barack Obama has beaten 205 other nominees to win the Nobel Peace Prize-2009 for his so-called "extraordinary efforts in strengthening international diplomacy and for taking landmark initiatives to create a nuclear-free world".

With U.S.A taking the 2nd place in the list of nuclear weapons states only behind Russia, I really wonder what Obama has done in creating a nuke-free world.U.S has 2623 active nuclear warheads out of a total 9400 nukes.(Source:wikipedia)
In reality he is trying to create a world where only the United States Of America will posses these powerful weapons.

Now the Norwegian Nobel Committee has become the second prominent institution after the United Nations to accept the dictatorship of the United States and is spinelessly trying to impress her by presenting the Prize for "PEACE" to a man under whose regime the U.S is continuing its assault on millions of helpless Iraqis and Afghans.

Obama has not yet kept his promise to close down the Guantanamo Bay and I don't think he will ever do it.The U.S military is still using Iraq as a "testing ground" for their latest weapons, Afghanistan as an "bombing arena" for their latest bombers and Guantanamo Bay-"the modern day Colosseum" for entertaining the CIA.

If the Nobel Peace Prize can be awarded to U.S President Barack Obama under whom the U.S military is continuing its brutal war crimes and its assault on human rights, then the dictator from the past-Adolf Hitler has got the right qualification to posthumously win the Nobel Peace Prize-2010.

My only request to the Norwegian Nobel Committee :
"Please don't commit ridiculous acts in the name of one of the greatest men who have walked upon this Earth - ALFRED NOBEL".

62 YEARS OF INDEPENDENT INDIA :

"At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom."

AUGUST 15, 1947; MIDNIGHT-"A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance."
THE INDEPENDENT SOVEREIGN INDIA IS BORN.

I pay my solemn homage to all those patriots who sacrificed their lives so that we could have the freedom that we are enjoying today.

JAI HIND !!

I dedicate this post to the great men and women who displayed the courage of standing up to the brutal repression and achieved solidarity in the face of the divisive power.

JAI HIND !!! JAI HIND !!!!!

WHAT'S IN A NAME ?

LATEST TREND IN INDIA:
Name everything from International Airport to a mere public toilet after Rajiv Gandhi.
1.Rajiv Gandhi Institute Of Petroleum Tech.-RGIPT, Noida
2.Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Cochin, Kerala
3.Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, New Hyderabad, A.P.
4.Rajiv Gandhi Container Terminal, Cochin, Kerala
5.Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala, Punjab
6.Rajiv Gandhi Indian Institute of Management, Shilong
7.Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award
8.Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore, Karnataka
9. Rajiv Gandhi Park, Kalkaji, Delhi
10.Rajiv Gandhi Bandra Worli Sea Link, Mumbai.(MOST RECENT)

This list will go upto more than 150 if I list all the institutions, airports,
government awards, government schemes etc... named after Rajiv Gandhi in India.

Take a look at the above list
and you will start wondering if this new "Gandhi" has higher importance than Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.I hope atleast some of the Indians remember this Mahatmaji who gave his entire life to India and in return we gave him "a bullet in the chest".While every Indian was tolerating the oppression of the British empire, Jawaharlal Nehru was romancing with Lady Edwina Mountbatton. And we gave this man and his later generations 62 years of power.

The spineless and shameless regime of the Nehru family still continues even as we are going to celebrate our 62nd Independence day.Now they are on a new high with the support of the aam aadmi who is now very nicely blindfolded with the help of the corporate media.
It is high time that the common man opens his eyes and looks around to see his real condition:
1.How secure are we & our family in the wake of the recent Mumbai attack & bomb blasts?,
2.Did this government do enough to control price rise?(if you analyse, the communist state govt. in Kerala have done better),
3.What did they do to stop the attacks on Indians in Australia?,
4.Are they maintaining the self-esteem of India in their recent foreign policies?

Inspite of all this, we Indians have succumbed to the cheap political strategy authored by Nehru and the story still continues.........

PLEASE WAKE UP INDIA!!!! WAKE UP!!!!

HOW SAFE ARE INDIANS?

"Struggle is the father of all things. It is not by the principles of humanity that man lives, but solely by means of the most brutal struggle."
- Adolf Hitler.

IS THERE A NEED FOR INDIA TO BECOME MORE AGGRESSIVE? :
Grab a newspaper or tune into a news channel and you will find how true the above quotation is.An Indian shot dead in the U.S, a gurudwara attacked by armed men in Vienna, racist attacks on Indian students in Australia,an Indian cab driver attacked somewhere else......... - these are some of the daily news wnich we Indians just read and very conveniantly forget.

I urge all Indians to just think what would have happened if such attacks were carried out against U.S or Chinese citizens. In the case of such an attack you would see the United Nations overreactting & going blah! blah! over the whole issue, world peace being risked & you could even find scud missiles streaming above your head to avenge the attacks on their citizens. This argument is supported by the recent actions of the U.S in Afghanistan, Iraq, nuke issue of N.Korea & China extending its influence in South Asia. But what has India done even after collecting ample proof aginst Pakistan in the Mumbai attack case, the masterminds of the attack are still sitting comfortablly in their homes enjoying their success.India needs the permission of the U.N to take any step against Pakistan, India follows the principle of non violence & supports world peace. But have we not suffered a lot by following these principles which no other nation even cares to look at??? as a result of our such non-aggressive policies we were ruled by the British for over a 100 years, now we are counted among on of the most unsafe countries in the world (many eyebrows were raised by the foreign players on the security when IPL-2 was initially planned to be held in India) & our cities & citizens are attacked without any fear of retalliation. It is high time that India becomes more aggressive in its foreign policies & security issues. The U.S.A did not require anyone's permission to attack & indiscriminately kill & brutally murder thousands of innocent civilians in Afghanistan & Iraq, all this just to protect their citizens from Osama-bin-Laden, Saddam Hussein & the terror network that they control.

RACIST ATTACKS ON INDIAN STUDENTS IN AUSTRALIA:
Sourabh Sharma, 21,An Indian student who was bashed and robbed by a racist gang in front of passengers on a train, adding his name to a growing list of young Indian victims in Melbourne.

The gruesome, targeted attacks on Indian students are awful. It is the sheer irresponsibility & arrogance on the part of the Australian government & authorities that such a brutal racial attack has been carried out even after complaints against such attacks were lodged in the recent past. And the most shamefull part is that the Australian government is still not accepting that these were racial attacks & have not taken any significant steps to avoid such incidents in the future & ensure the safety of the Indians living there. It was irresponsible on the part of the Australian Deputy Commissioner of Police Kieran Walshe to declare that there was no evidence of the attacks being racist(only if he really wants the culprits to be behind bars,he can find the evidence.I dont think he really wants it).

VICTORIAN POLICE USING EXCESSIVE FORCE ON PEACEFULLY PROTESTING INDIAN STUDENTS:
There have been recent reports that the Victorian police was using excessive force against the Indian students who were indulged in peaceful protests.Such heinous & condemnable acts by the Australian police suggests that the authorities there are not at all interested in the safety of the Indians & are in a way helping the culprits. The National Union of Students has condemned the Victorian police for their excessive use of force against Indian International and local students staging a protest.

It is high time that India sheds its non-aggressive image and takes steps to ensure that such violent acts against the Indians are nipped in the bud.

Do We Really Care For Our Heroes?

A NSG Commando Humiliated in Public:

30 April 2009:

After every commando operation like the one during 26/11 & akshardhaam or after a war with Pakistan, you find loads of netas in the news channels praising the great soldiers who have laid down their lives to protect us, to protect their motherland & to protect the sovereignty of India. But do we really care for them?

Today a news report in CNN-IBN showed how a NSG commando was humiliated in public, the man whose colleagues gave up their lives in many commando operations, the most recent one being the 26/11 Mumbai attack. The video report showed the Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav shouting at & scolding a NSG commando in front of the media cameras just because the gun which the soldier was holding accidentally touched the minister when the reporters created a rush.

Does a man who protects Mr.Lalu Prasad Yadav keeping his own life at stake deserve such a treatment? We the people of India are guilty for this because we have forced the commando to protect such a man who doesn't understand the value of the NSG soldiers. We have forced him to do this 'dirty job' by electing such a neta & making him the minister in the largest democracy.

We watch the Bollywood movies in which our favourite stars don the army uniform & deliver a 'blood-boiling' speech on patriotism, sitting in the comforts of a multiplex & enjoying the coolness of the centralised air-conditioner while our real jawans are sweating it out under the hot sun or bearing the chilling cold of the Himalayas to protect you, me, and these heartless, selfish politicians.

What do these jawans get in return for all their efforts? Are they keeping their lives at stake to get humiliated in public? Have you ever thought, why so many of these jawans die everyday? Have you ever tried to find out if they are equipped with quality weapons & safety equipments? While some of the top armies in the world like the U.S Army & even China in the recent past have upgraded its force & equipped its army with latest light-weight & quality bulletproof jackets, our jawans still carry the old & heavy ones.Indian Airforce for a long time had to use the MiG-21,MiG-23 & MiG-27 as their frontline fighters which are very much prone to crashes & other accidents, while even Pakistan had a better F-16.

But even though they are not equipped well, they have defended their motherland very well & are still doing so.But what are we giving them in return?

1.They are humiliated in public.

2.The death sentence against terrorists like Afzal Guru is not executed just because the ruling party thinks they will gain some extra votes in the elections, conveniantly forgetting the efforts of the commandos.

3.The red corner notice against the main accused in the bofors gun scam is removed just to protect the face of another neta, again forgetting the jawans.

4.When a larger share in the budget is alloted to the defence sector, it is questioned by some political parties.

5.The defence personels had to fight hard to get an equal pay package with their civilian counterparts.

If a Bollywood star or an Indian cricketer is ill-treated in such a way, then Indian fans come out in millions to protest(Eg:Ganguly-Chappell issue,Buchanan issue,Harbhajan-Symonds racial row.......).But what have we done when a real hero, a NSG commando is treated so badly. If you really care for them, then come out of your homes & make your voice heard.People like Lalu Prasad Yadav do not deserve the security that they are enjoying. There is no use chanting "Jai Jawan" unless we really respect and care for our heroes.
